Earth Day – April 22: Use Less to Save More
Did you know that Earth Day is over 50 years old? Earth Day was established in 1970 to raise awareness about environmental issues. That one day of recognition has blossomed into Earth Month (April) and is now celebrated globally by more than one billion people.
Then and now, people celebrating Earth Day understand the power of collaboration. People and communities who work together to address climate change can have greater impact and success. Right here at home, achieving more begins with using less – conserving energy for the benefit of the planet.
For all of us, energy efficiency is the easiest and most affordable means of reducing energy consumption. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, energy efficiency is one of the fastest, most cost-effective ways to save money, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, create jobs, and meet growing energy demand.
South Jersey Gas is proud to partner with our customers in efforts to be more energy efficient at home and at work. In addition to Conserve, South Jersey Gas offers exclusive money-saving solutions such as rebates, discounts and free weatherization programs for those who qualify.
In April and all year long, South Jersey Gas is doing its part to achieve its sustainability goals while ensuring safety, reliability and affordability for our customers. Thank you for joining together with us on Earth Day and every day as we work together for a better today and tomorrow.
