Elizabethtown Gas Announces 2022 First Responder Grant Recipients
UNION, N.J., November 21, 2022 – Elizabethtown Gas, a subsidiary of South Jersey Industries (NYSE: SJI), is excited to announce the winners of its annual First Responders Grant Program. This year, six grants totaling approximately $29,000 were awarded to local first responder departments.

The 2022 First Responders Grant Program recipient departments include:
· Andover Borough Fire Department
· Iselin Fire Department
· Borough of Kenilworth Fire Department
· City of Lambertville Fire Department
· Woodbridge Police Department
· Huntington Volunteer Fire Company No. 1
Through the First Responders Grant Program, Elizabethtown Gas provides critical support to help operations, improve safety measures and/or provide training at local first responder departments. This year, grants were awarded to first responder departments to support the purchase of critical resources, including gas detection meters, construction zone safety equipment and firefighting equipment, such as fire hoses and ventilation fans. With applications from first responder departments that serve municipalities across the utility’s service area, Elizabethtown Gas conducts a thorough and competitive selection process to determine the grant recipients.
